Gone too soon. Life-long fan.

My sister took me to my first concert at the UF bandshell. It was tom petty and the Heartbreakers. I saw him a dozen times as a kid. Before "Damn The Torpedoes ". He was the best!!

TomPetty was one of a kind. Brilliant songwriter, 3 chords and he nailed whatever suject he was singing about. Anyone could relate to his lyrics, you listen and say," yep, ive been there." He had tremendous insight into people, situations ,and what makes them tick. And, put that insight into a song. Genius with pure talent. One of the few who truly are gifted He was asked once if he watched shows like American Idol, to whicj he replied," nah, i dont watch game shows." 😅😂 THAT was his brilliance!!! So truthful. Gone way to soon. Miss him and his music. RIP Tom 🙏

I owe this man a whole lot and I just wish I could meet him and give him a big hug. He changed me so much and I can't help but cry thinking about him sometimes. He might be my favorite person ever

And while there are some fine covers on this LP (I mean, look at the material source!) much like Lucky, nobody can sing/perform Petty like TP did. He left us with a void so big, it could crush this town...
